ON-SITE AUCTION

Neale and Sons has been conducting auctions throughout the west coast since 1947.  We sell all types of personal property and machinery and equipment.  We offer a full on site auction service as well as complete on-line auction services (see our “For Sale” and “Sold Page”).

On-site auctions are very useful when people need to sell every item in an estate. We know that the process of liquidating an entire estate or business can be overwhelming. To alleviate this stress we have organized our services to make it as simple as possible. Here is a breakdown of the on-site auction process.

Neale and Sons will take possession of the entire contents two to four weeks prior to the date of sale. During this time Neale and Sons will throw away all items that are not saleable. We will then clean, arrange, describe and lot each item. After each item has been inventoried and described we take photographs of each item. We will advertise through our website, mailers, and newspaper ads. We will use other means of advertising when and if necessary.  Most auctions will be held on a Saturday. Usually our public previews are held the same day of the auction, although on larger sales we often allow the preceding day for preview.

Auction day will bring 200 or more people to the auction site. Each item will have a digital photograph and accurate description ready, which we use during the bidding process. The bidding is in person, as well as by telephone bid, if applicable.

 All items in the sale will be removed on auction day, unless agreed upon otherwise. When Neale and Sons is done, we leave the residence or business broom swept clean.
